ModelTankGallery.com was started by Rob McCune because Tim Dike, owner and operator of www.modelwarships.com, said he would give free models to Rob in exchange for running the website.  Okay not really, but he did say Rob could keep all the models he reviewed for the website, and that's the next best thing.

Rob currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri and has been an armor modeler since his early teenage years (with the obligatory hiatus between the ages of 16 and 27).  His primary focus is on modern and WWII era tanks, but occasionally strays when the mood strikes.  He has a special interest in the M1 Abrams series of modern US tanks, having spent hundreds of hours researching it.  He has personally taken nearly a thousand photos of the Abrams and is working on a 3D model of the Abrams in AutoCAD and Inventor.  He is engaged to a gorgeous blonde from California and will be moving to Fresno soon to be with her.

Tim lives in a cave just north of Lima, Peru and is practicing for his conversion to Judaism later this year.  He gets snipped in August, so if you are in Peru around that time, let him know. I am sure he'd appreciate the support since he doesn't have any friends and the women revile in utter disgust at the site of his disfigured form.
